Curriculum planning and assessment will be your responsibility, ensuring students grasp both theoretical and applied aspects of zoology. Collaborate with other science faculty to integrate interdisciplinary learning, particularly in environmental studies and conservation biology. Maintain updated teaching resources, including textbooks, lab equipment, and digital tools, to support effective instruction. Attend school meetings and workshops to stay informed about educational trends and best practices in zoology teaching. Prepare and grade assignments, exams, and projects to evaluate student progress systematically. Ensure compliance with school policies on safety and ethical conduct in lab and field activities. Represent the school at parent-teacher interactions, sharing student achievements and areas for improvement. Develop extracurricular programs like science clubs or competitions to encourage hands-on learning in zoology.
To qualify, you must hold a postgraduate degree in Zoology or a related field with at least two years of teaching experience. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory, though TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory for this role. The position offers a competitive salary of Rs. 45,000 to Rs. 70,000 per month, along with a supportive work environment in Navi Mumbai.
