A School in Parbhani, Prabhani, Maharastra is hiring a TGT English Teacher.
Role Summary
Presidency English School seeks a trained graduate teacher for English to handle classes 6 to 8. The role involves planning lessons aligned to Maharashtra state board syllabus, conducting regular assessments, and maintaining student portfolios. Classroom management for 35–40 students and timely submission of progress reports are expected.
What You Will Do
1. Teach English grammar, literature, and writing skills to middle school students using activity-based methods.
2. Prepare monthly unit plans and daily lesson notes for English periods as per the prescribed textbook.
3. Organize monthly spelling bees, debates, and reading corners to improve language proficiency.
4. Assess students through written tests, oral quizzes, and project work every two weeks.
5. Maintain attendance registers and progress charts for each class section.
6. Participate in PTMs and provide individual feedback to parents on student progress.
7. Attend staff meetings and contribute to curriculum review sessions for English.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in English from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks. B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory. Two years of teaching experience in middle school English is essential. Preference will be given to candidates familiar with Maharashtra board textbooks and TET qualified candidates.
