About This Role
Pune International School & Jr. College, a reputable college in Punecity, Pune, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced faculty member to join its Mathematics department as a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Mathematics.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics to undergraduate and postgraduate students in a classroom setting.
- Develop and implement curriculum for Mathematics courses, ensuring alignment with college standards.
- Mentor and guide students in their academic and professional growth.
- Conduct exams and assessments, ensuring fairness and accuracy.
- Prepare and deliver lectures on various mathematical topics, including algebra, geometry, and calculus.
- Develop and maintain a positive learning environment, encouraging student participation and engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement departmental policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in Mathematics, incorporating new ideas and methods into teaching practices.
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a Master's degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks and a valid UGC-NET or NET/SET qualification. A Ph.D. in Mathematics is preferred but not essential.
Research & Publications
Applicants with a strong research background and a publication record are encouraged to apply. Research and publication experience in Mathematics will be considered an added advantage.
Perks and Pay
The successful candidate will be offered a salary of Rs.30,000 - Rs.70,000 per month, as per the UGC scales. Additionally, the college offers a range of benefits, including health insurance, leave travel allowance, and other perks.
