Day-to-Day Duties
Curriculum design for semester-wise mathematics modules aligned with UGC guidelines.
Mentoring junior faculty in pedagogy, assessment design, and student engagement strategies.
Coordinating internal assessments, model papers, and mock examinations for semester exams.
Leading departmental meetings to review academic progress and address student feedback.
Initiating research projects in applied mathematics or educational technology integration.
Publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals indexed under UGC-CARE or Scopus.
Organizing inter-college mathematics symposiums and student seminars.
Collaborating with industry partners for internship opportunities in data science and analytics.
Advising the management on academic infrastructure upgrades for mathematics labs.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Mathematics with minimum 8 years of college-level teaching experience.
Associate Professor or Professor level appointments with prior HOD responsibilities preferred.
Master's degree in Mathematics with at least 55% marks from a recognized university.
Mandatory UGC-NET/SET qualification in Mathematics with valid score.
Proficiency in Python, LaTeX, and statistical tools for research and curriculum development.
Experience in curriculum development for CBCS pattern programs in Maharashtra universities.
Research Opportunities
Guide Ph.D. scholars in areas like number theory, graph theory, or mathematical modeling.
