What You Will Do
Plan daily Physical Education sessions for grades VI to X keeping age-appropriate drills and games in mind. Integrate yoga and athletics with the school’s sports calendar and inter-house tournaments. Oversee selection and training of school teams for district and state-level competitions.
Design lesson plans that align with CBSE Physical Education curriculum and include health education modules. Maintain accurate attendance, assessment records, and progress reports for each student. Coordinate with class teachers to ensure sports participation does not clash with academic schedules.
Organize morning assembly drills and ensure proper use of indoor and outdoor facilities. Conduct health check-ups for students and maintain fitness records as per school policy. Collaborate with Sankalp International School Pune management to report sports budget needs and facility upgrades.
Provide individual guidance to students struggling with fitness targets or sports injuries. Recommend modifications in training programs for differently-abled learners after consulting school counselor. Ensure all equipment is stored safely and replaced as needed.
Train junior Physical Education staff on modern teaching techniques and safety protocols. Assist in organizing annual sports day and other major events in Punecity. Represent Sankalp International School Pune in CBSE zonal sports meets and inter-school tournaments.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate degree in Physical Education from a recognized university. B.Ed or D.El.Ed mandatory for teaching in secondary grades. Minimum 2 years of full-time teaching experience in Physical Education.
TET/CTET is not mandatory but candidates with valid certificates will be preferred. Fluency in English and Marathi is necessary for daily interactions with students and parents. Prior experience in CBSE-affiliated schools in Maharashtra is an advantage.
