Role Introduction
The Manghanmal Udharam College Of Commerce in Haveli, Pune invites applications for a full‑time TGT – Social Science. The successful candidate will teach social science subjects to undergraduate students in a vibrant college environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lectures on history, political science, economics, and sociology to Class X and XI students.
- Prepare lesson plans aligned with the Maharashtra state curriculum and assessment standards.
- Conduct examinations, grade assignments, and provide constructive feedback to students.
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development workshops, and faculty training sessions.
- Mentor students in research projects, debates, and extracurricular activities related to social sciences.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and submit regular reports to the college administration.
- Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and analytical skills.
Qualification
The candidate must hold a master’s degree in Social Science, History, Political Science, Economics, or a related discipline with a minimum of 55% marks. A postgraduate qualification is mandatory, and a NET/SET certification is preferred. Experience of at least four years in teaching social science at the secondary or college level is required. A Ph.D. is considered an added advantage.
Salary and Location
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from Rs.25,000 to Rs.40,000 per month, based on experience and qualifications, and is based in Haveli, Pune, Maharastra.
