Goodwill International Foundations Ddm English High School | Thane West invites applications for a dynamic PGT Physical Education Teacher to lead the school’s sports and fitness programs. This role focuses on shaping young minds through structured physical activities, ensuring students develop discipline, teamwork, and overall well-being. Daily responsibilities include planning and conducting daily physical education classes. This involves organizing drills, games, and sports sessions tailored to students' ages and skill levels. The teacher must also monitor student participation, ensuring safety and adherence to rules. Additionally, preparing lesson plans for PE activities and maintaining equipment inventory is a key part of daily duties.
Regular responsibilities across the academic cycle involve collaborating with the school’s curriculum team to integrate physical education into the broader syllabus. This includes designing unit-wise assessments and tracking student progress through sports competitions and evaluations. The teacher must also represent the school in inter-house sports events and maintain records of student achievements in sports. Regular feedback sessions with students and parents on their physical development are also part of this role.
Periodic responsibilities include organizing annual sports festivals and organizing parent-teacher meetings to discuss students' athletic progress. The teacher must also conduct workshops or training sessions for teachers on innovative PE teaching methods. Ensuring compliance with school policies on sports safety and equipment maintenance is another key responsibility.
To qualify, the candidate must hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with at least two years of teaching experience in Physical Education. A TET or CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory.
