Role Summary

The Don Bosco Senior Secondary School Mumbai is inviting applications for a full-time PRT Sanskrit Teacher Vacancy in Thane. Three years of classroom experience is required. Day-to-Day Duties

1. Plan and deliver engaging Sanskrit lessons aligned with school curriculum.
2. Create simple teaching aids and charts for language concepts.
3. Conduct daily Sanskrit recitation and pronunciation drills.
4. Prepare monthly test papers and evaluate answer sheets.
5. Organize cultural programs like Sanskrit Shlok recitation during school events.
6. Maintain attendance registers and progress reports for each class.
7. Coordinate with co-teachers for cross-subject integration.
8. Participate in morning assemblies with Sanskrit verses and shlokas.
9. Attend staff meetings and contribute to Sanskrit department planning.

Required Qualifications

Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Sanskrit or related field
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized institution
- Three years of teaching experience in primary grades
- Fluency in Sanskrit reading, writing, and spoken skills
- Basic computer skills for lesson planning and record-keeping

Good to Have
- CTET or TET qualified
- Previous experience in ICSE or state board schools
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools like smart boards
- Exposure to value-based education approaches
- Willingness to coach students for inter-school Sanskrit competitions
