Your Students

As a PGT Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Geography to students from Class XI to XII. Your goal will be to help them develop a strong foundation in the subject, preparing them for the Odisha Board exams and beyond. You will be teaching students who are from diverse backgrounds and have varying levels of experience with Geography.
What You Will Do
- Teach Geography to students from Class XI to XII, following the Odisha Board curriculum.
- Prepare students for Board exams by developing and implementing effective lesson plans, assessments, and evaluation strategies.
- Conduct Geography-related activities, projects, and field trips to make learning engaging and interactive.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students, helping them identify their strengths and areas of improvement.
- Collaborate with other teachers to develop and implement interdisciplinary projects and activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and performance.
- Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and training programs to enhance your teaching skills and stay updated with best practices.
- Contribute to the development of the Geography department, suggesting new ideas and initiatives to improve the curriculum and teaching methods.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting respect, empathy, and social responsibility among students.
- Stay connected with parents through regular updates on student progress and achievements.
Eligibility
- Master's degree in Geography or a related field (M.A., M.Sc.).
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
- CTET or TET certification is not mandatory but preferred.
- 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting, preferably in a senior secondary school.
- Strong knowledge of the Odisha Board curriculum and exam requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
