Core duties
Curriculum development: Design and implement Computer Science syllabus-based lessons, incorporating real-world applications and industry trends. Ensure alignment with CBSE/ICSE guidelines and state board requirements.
Classroom instruction: Teach programming languages (Python, Java, C++), algorithms, and computer fundamentals with interactive methods, including coding workshops and project-based learning. Adapt teaching styles to engage diverse learning abilities.
Assessment and evaluation: Conduct regular assessments, quizzes, and project evaluations to track student progress. Provide constructive feedback and support students in improving their technical skills.
Technical support: Assist in troubleshooting basic IT issues in classrooms, ensuring smooth operation of computers, laptops, and educational software. Stay updated on new tools and software relevant to Computer Science education.
Student guidance: Guide students in extracurricular activities like robotics clubs, hackathons, and coding competitions. Encourage participation in national-level events such as NCFE (National Coding Festivals) and other tech-based competitions.
Faculty collaboration: Work with other teachers to integrate Computer Science concepts across subjects where applicable. Participate in faculty meetings to discuss teaching strategies and curriculum improvements.
Qualification and experience
The ideal candidate must hold a postgraduate degree in Computer Science or related field, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. A minimum of two years of teaching experience, preferably in Computer Science or a related subject, is required. Proficiency in teaching programming languages and experience in preparing students for competitive exams is highly desirable.
Compensation and location
