Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Non-Tenure Track (NTT) English Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will hold a postgraduate degree in English, Education, or a related field. While a Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) certification is not required, prior teaching experience of at least one year is essential. The role involves delivering high-quality English language instruction to students in grades 9-12, fostering both linguistic proficiency and critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging English language lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and national standards.
Assess and evaluate student performance through quizzes, assignments, and exams, providing constructive feedback.
Develop and implement supplementary teaching materials to enhance student learning outcomes.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary activities and projects.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports.
Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events as required.
Stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies and educational technologies in English language instruction.
Application Process
Student-Teacher Ratio: 1:25
Class Sizes: 30-35 students per class
Teaching Hours: 20 contact hours per week, including preparation and grading time
Selection Process: Initial screening of applications, followed by a demo teaching session and interview
Pay Structure
Base Salary: INR 35,000 per month (gross)
Performance-Based Incentives: Up to INR 5,000 per month, based on measurable outcomes such as:
Student pass rates in English (target: 90% or higher)
Classroom engagement and student feedback (target: 85% positive feedback)
Attendance and punctuality (target: 95% or higher)
Professional development contributions (e.g., workshops, training sessions)
Performance Expectations
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Student Performance: Achieve a minimum 90% pass rate in English across all classes.
Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and disciplined learning environment with minimal disruptions.
Student Engagement: Ensure at least 85% of students actively participate in classroom activities.
Feedback and Assessment: Provide timely and constructive feedback on student assignments and exams.
Professional Conduct: Adhere to the school’s code of conduct and maintain professionalism at all times.
Targets:
Improve average student scores in English by 10% compared to the previous academic year.
Conduct at least two parent-teacher meetings per semester to discuss student progress.
Develop and implement one innovative teaching strategy or resource per semester to enhance learning.
