Teaching Responsibilities
Design and deliver advanced Biology lessons aligned with the Odisha curriculum. Ensure engaging and interactive sessions for students in grades 11 and 12. Incorporate practical experiments and field studies to enhance learning outcomes.
Planning and Preparation
Develop comprehensive lesson plans, syllabus-based units, and teaching aids. Stay updated with recent scientific advancements and integrate them into classroom teaching.
Assessment and Evaluation
Conduct regular formative and summative assessments to measure student progress. Prepare detailed evaluation reports and suggest remedial strategies for struggling students.
Student Support and Mentorship
Provide guidance and academic support to biology students, particularly those excelling or struggling in the subject. Act as a mentor for students interested in pursuing higher studies in science.
Curriculum Coordination
Collaborate with the principal and subject coordinators to ensure alignment with school policies and academic standards. Assist in organizing science-related extracurricular activities, such as workshops or competitions.
Administrative Duties
Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and subject-related documentation. Participate in school meetings to discuss teaching strategies and curriculum improvements.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in Biology or a related field. Possess a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree. Minimum two years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level preferred. Familiarity with Odisha’s educational framework is beneficial.
