Guide students in competitive exam preparation and career counseling, especially for engineering and commerce streams. Lead departmental meetings to review academic performance and introduce innovative teaching methods.
Coordinate with Kendujhar-based coaching centers and resource persons for additional support to students. Prepare detailed academic reports and present them to school management during term reviews. Represent the school in inter-school mathematics symposiums and Olympiads within Odisha.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university. B.Ed degree from an NCTE-recognized institution with Mathematics as a teaching subject. Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in senior secondary classes, preferably in Kendujhar or nearby districts.
Valid NET or SET qualification in Mathematics is strongly preferred. Fluency in Odia and English is necessary for effective communication with students and parents. Familiarity with Odisha Board examination patterns and recent curriculum changes is an advantage.
