Cohen International School in Jantni, Khordha, is seeking a dedicated TGT Odia Teacher to join its team and inspire students with a deep understanding of the Odia language and culture. The role focuses on delivering engaging classroom instruction while fostering linguistic development and cultural awareness among students in the Odisha curriculum.

Teaching responsibilities include designing and delivering Odia language lessons aligned with the school’s syllabus, ensuring students grasp grammar, vocabulary, and literary works effectively. You will also conduct interactive sessions, assignments, and assessments to evaluate progress and adapt teaching methods as needed. Collaborating with the Odia department to integrate cultural elements into lessons will enhance students’ appreciation of the language’s heritage.

Classroom management duties involve maintaining a structured learning environment, addressing student queries, and encouraging participation. Regular feedback sessions with students will help identify strengths and areas for improvement. Additionally, you will assist in organizing cultural events, workshops, or competitions related to Odia literature, poetry, or folklore to enrich extracurricular activities.

For this full-time position, a postgraduate degree in Odia or a related discipline is essential, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Three years of teaching experience in Odia or a similar subject is required, though prior experience in schools is preferred. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be an asset. The salary for this role is competitive, ranging from Rs. 22,000 to Rs. 45,000 per month, with the opportunity to work in a vibrant academic setting in Khordha.
