Responsibilities

Incorporate regional art forms, such as Punjabi folk paintings or traditional embroidery, to make lessons culturally relevant. Assess student work through practical projects, portfolios, and regular evaluations, ensuring progress is tracked effectively.
Teach drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art, adapting methods for students of varying skill levels. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate Fine Arts into interdisciplinary projects, like history or social studies themes. Maintain a well-stocked art room with supplies, tools, and materials to support hands-on learning.
Qualification
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a postgraduate qualification in Fine Arts or a related field. Experience in teaching visual arts at the secondary level is essential. While TET/CTET certification is preferred, it is not mandatory for this role.
Experience
Four years of teaching experience in Fine Arts or a related subject is required. Prior experience in a school setting, especially in Punjab, will be highly valued. Knowledge of Punjab’s art heritage and its influence on contemporary education is a plus.
Compensation
This PGT Fine Arts Teacher position in Barnala offers a competitive salary of Rs.45,000 - Rs.55,000 per month, along with benefits that support professional growth.
