Job Description
Lady Lrd Public School in Fatehgarh Sahib seeks a dedicated TGT History Teacher to enrich the academic experience of students through engaging history lessons. The teacher will report directly to the Head of History Department and collaborate with other subject teachers to design lesson plans that meet school and board exam requirements. The focus will be on delivering age-appropriate content, using visual aids, and encouraging discussions on historical events and their relevance today.
Core Duties
Teaching History to students from Class 9 to 12, covering key periods of Indian history, colonialism, and contemporary issues.
Preparing and delivering engaging lesson plans, including practical demonstrations and group activities to enhance learning.
Assisting in exam preparation by providing study materials, revision guides, and mock tests aligned with CBSE or state board syllabi.
Participating in departmental meetings to review teaching strategies, curriculum updates, and student performance trends.
Supporting extracurricular activities like history clubs, cultural fests, or field trips to bring lessons to life outside the classroom.
The successful candidate will hold a postgraduate degree in History or a related subject along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. A minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably in history or social sciences, is required. While TET/CTET certification is preferred, it is not mandatory for this role.
This position offers a competitive salary of Rs. 22,000 to Rs. 45,000 per month, along with a location in the vibrant educational hub of Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab. The school values creativity, patience, and a passion for history education.
