Position Overview
Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib Public School in Fazilka is looking for a dedicated PRT Music Teacher to join our full‑time faculty. The role requires a graduate with at least two years of teaching experience in music and a passion for nurturing students’ musical abilities.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging music lessons that meet the school’s learning objectives.
Create detailed lesson plans that outline objectives, activities, and resources for each session.
Align teaching strategies with the broader educational goals of the school, ensuring coherence across subjects.
Develop and administer formative and summative assessments to gauge student understanding and skill development.
Analyze assessment data to identify strengths and areas for improvement, adjusting instruction accordingly.
Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and performance for reporting and parent communication.
Lesson Planning
Prepare weekly lesson plans that incorporate theory, practice, and performance components.
Integrate diverse musical styles and instruments to cater to varied student interests.
Use multimedia tools and resources to enhance learning experiences and keep students engaged.
Curriculum Alignment
Ensure that music instruction supports the overall educational framework of the school.
Coordinate with other teachers to embed musical concepts into interdisciplinary projects when appropriate.
Adapt teaching methods to align with evolving educational priorities and student needs.
Assessment Design
Create age‑appropriate quizzes, performance evaluations, and creative projects that reflect learning outcomes.
Use rubrics and checklists to provide transparent feedback to students and parents.
Implement peer‑review sessions to foster collaborative learning and critical listening skills.
Student Progress Tracking
Maintain detailed logs of each student’s musical growth, noting technical skills, creativity, and confidence levels.
Schedule regular progress reviews with students and parents to discuss achievements and set new goals.
Adjust instructional approaches based on individual progress reports to maximize learning potential.
Qualifications
Graduate degree in any discipline with a strong interest in music education.
Minimum of two years teaching experience in a school setting.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification preferred; TET/CTET not mandatory.
Proficiency in using music software and digital resources is an advantage.
Salary and Benefits
Competitive salary range of Rs.13,000 – Rs.21,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
