About This Role
This is a senior Science department role at Dcm Group Of Schools Firozpur for a TGT Science Teacher who will take ownership of curriculum delivery, student performance and team development. The position is designed for someone with at least four years of classroom experience and a strong grasp of CBSE Science pedagogy. Day-to-Day Duties
Plan and deliver the full CBSE Science syllabus for Classes 6 to 10 with an emphasis on conceptual clarity and practical application. Curate daily lesson plans, weekly tests and monthly assessments aligned to board expectations and student abilities. Monitor and analyze board result trends across sections to identify intervention points and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Mentor junior Science teachers through classroom observations, feedback sessions and co-planning of demo lessons every fortnight. Conduct subject-specific workshops during staff development days to upgrade teaching methods in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Lead Science club activities, inter-house quizzes and Science exhibitions to build interest beyond textbooks.
Coordinate with the lab in-charge to maintain and upgrade Science laboratory equipment and ensure safe conduct of practicals. Organize field trips to local industries or research centers in Firozpur district to connect classroom learning with real-world applications. Prepare students for NTSE, Olympiad and Science exhibitions at district and state levels.
Who Can Apply
Post-graduate in Science with a B.Ed degree from a recognized Indian university is mandatory. Minimum five years of full-time TGT Science teaching experience in a CBSE-affiliated school is required.
