Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
Teach Environmental Studies (EVS) to students in classes where the subject is integrated into daily learning. Develop engaging lesson plans that align with school curriculum guidelines while ensuring hands-on, experiential activities.
Conduct field trips and outdoor learning sessions to reinforce classroom concepts, such as nature walks, gardening projects, and community awareness campaigns.
Assist in creating visual aids, interactive models, and multimedia resources to support EVS teaching, including posters, diagrams, and digital presentations.
Prepare students for school-based assessments and projects related to environmental science, sustainability, and local ecology.
Collaborate with other teachers to integrate EVS themes into interdisciplinary lessons, ensuring cohesive learning across subjects.
Qualifications and Requirements
Hold a graduate degree with a minimum of three years of relevant teaching experience. Possession of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is mandatory.
A valid Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) certificate is preferred but not mandatory for this role.
Ensure strong subject knowledge in Environmental Studies, including current environmental issues, biodiversity, and sustainable practices.
Salary for this position is Rs.18,000 to Rs.25,000 per month, subject to performance-based increments.
