Daily Responsibilities
Your day-to-day tasks will include designing and conducting physical education classes tailored to students’ ages and skill levels. This involves teaching fundamental sports like cricket, basketball, volleyball, and athletics, along with fitness routines and health awareness programs. You’ll also monitor students’ participation, ensure safety during activities, and encourage a culture of discipline and sportsmanship. Classroom management, including organizing drills and competitions, is a key part of your role.
Recurring Activities
Every week, you’ll plan and execute a mix of team sports, individual drills, and physical challenges to keep students engaged. This includes adjusting lesson plans based on student feedback and performance metrics. You’ll also collaborate with other teachers to integrate physical education into broader curriculum goals, ensuring alignment with school policies. Administrative tasks like updating activity records and preparing equipment lists will also be part of your routine.
Periodic Responsibilities
Throughout the academic year, you’ll organize inter-house sports events, school tournaments, and fitness camps to foster competition and camaraderie. Periodically, you may lead workshops or guest lectures on nutrition, mental health, and sports science to enrich students’ understanding. Evaluating student progress through assessments and providing constructive feedback is another recurring duty. Additionally, you’ll attend training sessions or workshops to stay updated on teaching methods and sports innovations.
