English (NTT) Vacancy in Jalandhar 1, Jalandhar, Punjab
DIPS SCHOOL
Job Description
school culture and team
Dips School sits in the heart of Jalandhar 1, where classrooms buzz with playful learning and curiosity. Teachers here swap ideas over chai about making phonics fun and storytelling spark wonder. The team shares a habit of quick classroom tweaks—if rhymes aren’t sticking, they try flashcards the same afternoon.
Job Overview
Dips School needs an NTT English Teacher to shape little voices and early confidence. You’ll handle two lively sections, blending songs, puppets, and picture books into daily English moments. Expect two planning periods each week to craft activities that feel like play, not lessons.
What You Will Do
Plan and run 30-minute English circles with phonics drills, picture-talk, and action rhymes.
Prepare low-cost teaching aids—flashcards, puppets, felt boards—every week.
Model clear pronunciation and gentle correction during free-play dialogue.
Organise Friday “Show & Tell” in English to let children speak without fear.
Keep a daily anecdote log to share small wins with parents at pickup.
Set up a listening corner with audio stories for quiet time after lunch.
Conduct monthly parent meet-ups to explain how we build vocabulary playfully.
Collaborate with the NTT team to align songs and stories across sections.
Eligibility
Postgraduate degree in any discipline with B.Ed or D.El.Ed.
Minimum two years of English teaching in pre-primary classes.
Familiarity with phonics-based teaching and child-centric methods.
Experience with Jalandhar’s local language mix is helpful but not required.
School Environment
Dips School is a single-shift campus with bright, low-wall classrooms and a shaded outdoor play area. English is introduced through songs and stories first, then simple writing. Teachers rotate lunch duty once a week and attend a monthly pedagogy circle after school.
Salary and Benefits
Salary: No bar for deserving candidates per month.
In-house PD workshops twice a year.
School transport reimbursement for Jalandhar 1–4 zones.
Festive bonuses and a book allowance for classroom resources.
