PGT History Teacher Job in Jalandhar, Punjab | School Recruitment
Responsibilities
1. Design and deliver engaging history lessons for classes 11 and 12 in line with state curriculum.
2. Prepare assessment materials and evaluate student performance with fair and transparent criteria.
3. Integrate technology and multimedia resources to enhance learning experiences.
4. Participate in curriculum development meetings and contribute subject‑specific insights.
5. Mentor junior teachers and support their professional growth in history education.
6. Coordinate extracurricular history projects and school exhibitions.
7. Maintain accurate attendance and progress records for each student.
8. Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and classroom activities.
Qualifications
Post‑graduate degree in History or related field.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed required for teaching positions.
TET or CTET preferred, though not mandatory.
Experience
Minimum 4 years of teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
Experience with state board examinations and student counseling is advantageous.
Salary
Rs.40,000 – Rs.50,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
