Cambridge International School in Jalandhar is seeking a dedicated PGT Punjabi Teacher to join their team. The role involves teaching Punjabi at the post-secondary level, fostering cultural understanding and linguistic proficiency among students. The PGT Punjabi Teacher will design engaging lesson plans that align with Cambridge’s curriculum while incorporating regional nuances and contemporary language use. Daily classroom instruction will include grammar exercises, composition writing, and oral communication skills. The teacher will also mentor students in extracurricular Punjabi clubs or cultural events, ensuring language learning extends beyond the classroom. Collaboration with other subject teachers will help integrate Punjabi into interdisciplinary projects, such as literature studies or media analysis.
Candidates should hold a post-graduate degree in Punjabi or a related humanities field, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Three years of teaching experience in Punjabi or a similar language subject is required. While TET/CTET is not mandatory, a teaching certificate is preferred. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, a deep understanding of Punjabi literature, and the ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse student needs.
This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of Rs. 22,000 to Rs. 40,000 per month, along with benefits tailored to support professional growth and work-life balance.
