Manav Sehyog School invites applications for the Special Educator Position in Jalandhar, Punjab to support inclusive education initiatives. Reporting to the principal, you’ll play a key role in shaping policies, training staff, and ensuring compliance with Punjab’s education policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement special education programs tailored to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring alignment with Manav Sehyog School’s curriculum framework.
Coordinate with teachers, psychologists, and parents to develop individualized learning plans, fostering a supportive environment for students.
Oversee the training of general and special educators on inclusive teaching methods, ensuring consistency in pedagogy across the school.
Collaborate with external agencies and government bodies to secure funding and resources for special education programs.
Maintain accurate records of student progress, special needs assessments, and compliance documentation for school audits.
Participate in school management meetings to advocate for special education initiatives and address policy gaps.
Develop and update manuals or guidelines for special education practices, ensuring clarity for staff and students.
Qualification (Must Have / Good to Have):
Must have a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree from a recognized university.
Graduate degree in education or related field preferred but not mandatory.
Minimum 2 years of experience in special education, inclusive classrooms, or educational administration.
Strong understanding of Punjab’s Right to Education (RTE) Act and special education laws.
Essential Skills:
Proven ability to manage administrative tasks with precision, including record-keeping and compliance.
Effective communication skills to bridge gaps between educators, parents, and policymakers.
Leadership in mentoring staff, particularly in training and capacity-building initiatives.
Problem-solving mindset to address challenges in special education implementation.
Basic knowledge of assistive technologies and adaptive learning tools beneficial.
Salary and Location:
Attractive compensation of Rs.22,000 - Rs.30,000 per month for this full-time position.
Based in Jalandhar 1, Jalandhar, Punjab, with travel support for field visits as needed.
