TGT Computer Science Teacher Position at Dips School, Jalandhar
Dips School | Urban Estate in Jalandhar Ii is seeking an experienced TGT Computer Science Teacher to join their dynamic team and inspire students with hands-on computer science education. This full-time role will require a passionate educator with a strong foundation in programming, algorithms, and modern computing concepts to deliver engaging classroom instruction. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for technology education while adapting teaching methods to meet evolving curriculum standards.
The teacher will report directly to the principal or designated head of the Computer Science department, ensuring alignment with school policies and academic goals. This role focuses on fostering critical thinking through interactive labs, coding projects, and practical applications of digital literacy.
Core Duties
Teaching Computer Science subjects including programming languages (Python, Java, C++), data structures, and computer fundamentals to students in Class 9 to 12. Developing and implementing innovative lesson plans that integrate technology into real-world problem-solving scenarios. Supervising computer labs, ensuring safe and efficient use of hardware and software resources. Collaborating with other subject teachers to integrate computer science concepts across the curriculum. Assisting in organizing extracurricular activities such as coding clubs, robotics workshops, and competitive programming events. Preparing and grading assignments, exams, and continuous evaluation reports to track student progress. Maintaining updated teaching materials, including textbooks, digital resources, and interactive demonstrations. Participating in school-level professional development workshops to stay current with educational trends and teaching methodologies.
Qualification and Experience
A postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is essential. Possession of a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory for this position. Three years of relevant teaching experience in Computer Science or related subjects is required. Familiarity with TET/CTET guidelines is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse student groups. Proficiency in using educational technology tools and platforms is advantageous. Experience in designing and implementing project-based learning initiatives is a plus.
Compensation and Location
This full-time position offers a competitive monthly salary of Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 50,000, depending on qualifications and experience. The role is based in Jalandhar Ii, Punjab, with the opportunity to work in a supportive academic environment at Dips School | Urban Estate. Travel expenses and other benefits will be determined based on school policies.
