Daily responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver lesson plans aligned with the curriculum for grades 6 to 8.
- Conduct interactive laboratory experiments and demonstrate scientific concepts.
- Assess student progress through quizzes and class participation, providing immediate feedback.
- Maintain classroom discipline and a conducive learning environment.
Regular responsibilities across the academic cycle
- Plan and execute unit tests and mid-term examinations in coordination with senior teachers.
- Collaborate with the science department to update teaching materials and laboratory equipment.
- Participate in faculty meetings to discuss student performance and instructional strategies.
- Mentor junior teachers and interns in effective science teaching techniques.
Periodic responsibilities
- Organize science fairs and project exhibitions to showcase student work.
- Lead field trips to local science museums or industrial sites for experiential learning.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s science curriculum review every term.
Qualification and experience
Post‑graduate degree in Science with B.Ed or D.El.Ed is required. A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting is essential. TET or CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Salary and location
Competitive salary ranging from Rs.20,000 to Rs.32,000 per month for a full‑time position at Shree Hanumat International Public School, located in Jalandhar 1, Punjab.
