You’ll create age-appropriate lesson plans that blend traditional and contemporary dance styles, ensuring safety and proper technique are always prioritized. Student assessments will focus on technical skills, artistic expression, and cultural awareness, with regular feedback sessions to support growth. Collaboration with other arts faculty will enhance interdisciplinary projects, such as dance performances or cultural festivals. You’ll also assist in organizing extracurricular dance activities, including workshops, competitions, and school events to boost student participation. Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom culture, you’ll address diverse learning needs while promoting respect and teamwork among peers. Attendance at teacher training workshops or dance refresher courses may be encouraged to stay updated on best practices.
The ideal candidate holds a graduate degree with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification and at least two years of teaching experience in dance or related arts. A strong passion for dance, creativity, and a commitment to student development are essential. Salary for this full-time position ranges from Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 35,000 per month, with the opportunity to contribute to a school that values arts education in Kapurthala, Punjab.
