Job Description
PGT Mathematics Teacher – S.g.n International School, Ludhiana East, Punjab
Daily responsibilities
- Conduct engaging Mathematics classes for senior sections, ensuring concepts are explained clearly and students are actively involved.
- Prepare and deliver lesson plans that align with the school curriculum and state guidelines.
- Assess student understanding through in‑class activities, quizzes, and provide immediate feedback.
- Maintain classroom discipline and foster a supportive learning environment.
Regular responsibilities across the academic cycle
- Design and set weekly assignments, project work and periodic tests to track progress.
- Participate in departmental meetings, collaborate with fellow teachers to integrate cross‑subject initiatives.
- Provide regular progress reports and conduct parent‑teacher meetings to discuss student performance.
- Update and manage student records, attendance and grading sheets in accordance with school policies.
Periodic responsibilities
- Organise termly examinations, evaluate answer scripts and submit results within the stipulated time frame.
- Lead Mathematics enrichment programs, competitions or workshops during holidays or special occasions.
- Contribute to the development and revision of the Mathematics curriculum during academic planning sessions.
Qualification and experience
- Post‑graduate degree in Mathematics or related discipline.
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory; TET/CTET certification is preferred.
- Minimum two years of teaching experience at the PGT level in a school setting.
Salary and location
- Salary: Rs.45,000 – Rs.60,000 per month.
- Full‑time position based in Ludhiana East, Ludhiana, Punjab.
