PGT Physics Teacher Job in Ludhiana, Punjab | School Recruitment
Upsc Jain Public School in Ludhiana East is seeking a dedicated PGT Physics Teacher to join its esteemed faculty. This role involves designing and delivering advanced physics curriculum aligned with CBSE/State Board standards, ensuring students grasp complex concepts like mechanics, thermodynamics, and modern physics through interactive and practical learning. The ideal candidate will engage with high-achieving students, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills while maintaining a supportive academic environment.
Reporting to the Principal or Head of Science Department, this position requires hands-on classroom instruction, lesson planning, and assessment of students’ progress. The role also includes collaborating with teachers to integrate physics experiments and real-world applications, such as renewable energy or physics-based technologies, to enhance student interest.
Core Duties
Teaching Physics to Class 11 and 12 students, ensuring adherence to syllabus requirements and encouraging experimental learning.
Developing innovative teaching methods, including the use of lab equipment, simulations, and digital tools like PhET or Labster, to make physics accessible.
Assessing student performance through continuous evaluation, including projects, exams, and practical assessments, while providing constructive feedback.
Participating in departmental meetings to discuss curriculum improvements and sharing best practices for physics education.
Supporting extracurricular activities like science fairs, quiz competitions, or robotics clubs to boost student engagement in STEM fields.
Qualifications and Experience
A postgraduate degree in Physics with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory for this position. Candidates with a B.Tech or M.Sc. in Physics are preferred.
At least two years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level (Class 11-12) is essential.
A valid TET/CTET certificate is highly recommended but not mandatory for this role.
Familiarity with CBSE/State Board physics syllabi and modern teaching methodologies is advantageous.
