About This Role
We are looking for a PGT Political Science Teacher to join our faculty at Akal Academy. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Political Science to our students, preparing lesson plans, evaluating student progress, and developing curriculum materials. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the subject matter and be able to communicate complex ideas in an engaging and accessible way.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Prepare and deliver lectures on Political Science to students of different age groups
- Develop and implement curriculum materials that cater to diverse learning needs
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to measure student progress
- Provide individualized support and guidance to students
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school policies
- Participate in staff development programs to enhance teaching skills
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians through reports and meetings
- Contribute to the development of a positive school culture
Required Qualifications
- A postgraduate degree in Political Science or a related field (M.A.) from a recognized university
- A B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. degree from a recognized institution
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a school setting
- Strong understanding of the subject matter and curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
