Zoology (PGT) Vacancy in Samrala, Ludhiana, Punjab
Tagore Global School
Job Description
At Tagore Global School in Samrala, Ludhiana, we believe every young mind deserves to explore the wonders of nature through hands-on learning. Our students, curious and eager to understand the living world around them, need a teacher who can spark their interest in zoology—not just as a subject, but as a gateway to curiosity and responsibility. This role is for someone who will inspire them to ask questions, conduct experiments, and see the beauty in the diversity of life.
As a PGT Zoology Teacher in Ludhiana, you’ll shape how our students perceive ecosystems, animal behavior, and conservation. Your lessons will blend theory with practical fieldwork, ensuring they grasp concepts like classification, biodiversity, and even ethical considerations in wildlife studies. You’ll design engaging experiments, lead field trips to nearby forests or farms, and mentor students who might dream of becoming scientists or environmentalists. Your passion will turn abstract ideas into tangible experiences, making zoology more than just a class—it becomes a lifelong passion.
Your duties will include:
Teaching advanced zoology courses to senior students, covering topics like animal physiology, genetics, and ecology with clarity and depth.
Preparing interactive lessons that include visuals, discussions, and real-world applications to keep students engaged.
Organizing lab sessions and practical work to reinforce classroom learning, such as dissections or DNA extraction experiments.
Collaborating with science teachers to integrate zoology concepts into interdisciplinary projects.
Supervising field trips to local habitats, nature reserves, or even nearby farms to give students firsthand experience.
Developing unit plans and assessment tools that measure both knowledge and critical thinking skills.
Maintaining updated teaching resources, including textbooks, research papers, and multimedia materials.
Attending professional development workshops to stay updated on new scientific discoveries and teaching methods.
To apply, you should hold a postgraduate degree in Zoology with at least three years of teaching experience. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification will be required, though prior experience in high school or senior secondary education is a strong asset. While TET/CTET isn’t mandatory, a teaching certificate would be a valuable addition. Your ability to connect complex concepts to students’ lives will make this a rewarding position at Tagore Global School.
What sets Tagore Global School apart is its focus on holistic education—where students aren’t just tested but inspired. Our campus in Samrala, Ludhiana, is nestled in a serene environment, perfect for field studies, and we encourage innovation in teaching. Beyond the classroom, you’ll enjoy a competitive salary of Rs.40,000 to Rs.70,000 per month, along with benefits like health insurance and professional growth opportunities.
To apply, send your resume and teaching samples to our designated email. No interviews are required—just let us see how your experience aligns with our vision. This isn’t just a job; it’s an opportunity to leave a lasting impact on young minds in one of Punjab’s most vibrant educational hubs.
