Role Responsibilities
The PRT Social Science Teacher at Doon Oxford School will design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum while adapting teaching methods for diverse learning needs. Daily classroom activities will include interactive sessions on topics like Punjab’s freedom struggle, modern Indian economy, and global political systems. The teacher will also prepare lesson plans, conduct assessments, and provide constructive feedback to students. Collaborating with the subject coordinator, the role involves organizing field trips and workshops to bring Social Science concepts to life, such as visits to historical sites in Ludhiana or local government offices. Additionally, the teacher will participate in school events, including cultural fests and awareness campaigns on social issues relevant to students.
Eligibility
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) along with a graduate degree in Social Science or related fields. A TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory. Experience in teaching Social Science to students in the age group of 11-14 years is essential, with at least two years of relevant classroom experience. Familiarity with Punjab’s educational framework and a passion for nurturing young minds in history, geography, and economics are key requirements.
