Special Educator Job in Ludhiana, Punjab | School Vacancy
Role Summary
Sacred Dale International School Punjab seeks a Special Educator for its Ludhiana West campus to support students with diverse learning needs. This role shapes inclusive practices and collaborates with parents and therapists to create individualised plans. The position ensures compliance with school policies and fosters a supportive environment for every learner.
Day-to-Day Duties
Develop and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) aligned with student assessments.
Coordinate with external specialists such as speech therapists and occupational therapists.
Train classroom assistants on adaptive teaching strategies and behaviour management.
Monitor student progress through weekly observations and data collection.
Organise monthly parent meetings to share updates and gather feedback.
Maintain confidential records of student progress and interventions.
Attend weekly staff meetings to align support strategies across departments.
Liaise with school leadership to recommend resource allocation for special needs programs.
Required Qualifications
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or graduate with B.Ed/D.El.Ed.
3 years of experience in special education or allied fields.
Experience with IEPs and behaviour intervention plans.
Good to Have
Certificate in Special Education or related diploma.
Prior experience in a K-12 school setting.
Familiarity with assistive technologies and adaptive learning tools.
