3. Organize school choir, instrumental ensembles, and cultural events for TGT Music Teacher in Punjab.
4. Prepare students for inter-school Music competitions and state-level cultural programs.
5. Collaborate with other subject teachers to integrate Music into school festivals and activities.
6. Maintain records of student attendance, performance, and participation in Music activities.
7. Use visual aids, audio-visual tools, and digital platforms to enhance Music teaching.
8. Provide individual guidance to students interested in learning instruments or vocal training.
9. Participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress in Music.
Required Qualifications
Must Have
- Postgraduate degree in Music (M.A. Music or M.Sc Music) from a recognized university.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) with Music as a teaching subject.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Music for middle or secondary school.
- Fluency in English and Punjabi for effective classroom communication.
- Experience in organizing school-level Music events or competitions.
Good to Have
- Diploma in Music (Vocal/Instrumental) from a recognized institution.
- Certification in teaching methodologies such as NET, SET, or M.Ed.
- Experience in teaching Western or Indian classical Music.
- Familiarity with Indian school examination patterns for Music subjects.
- Knowledge of Music theory, notation, and practical training methods.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to teach both vocal and instrumental Music (keyboard, guitar, tabla, etc.).
- Strong classroom management skills to handle diverse student abilities.
- Creative lesson planning to make Music engaging for TGT students.
- Experience in using digital tools for Music teaching (e.g., apps, software).
