Job Overview
As a senior Punjabi department role at D.a.v Public School in Patiala, Punjab, we are looking for an experienced PRT who can take on a leadership position and drive the development of our Punjabi language curriculum. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Punjabi language curriculum for Classes 1 to 5.
- Conduct regular workshops and training sessions for junior staff to enhance their teaching skills.
- Monitor and improve board results for Punjabi language subjects.
- Mentor and guide junior staff members to help them improve their teaching skills.
- Develop and implement assessment tools to evaluate student progress.
- Collaborate with the administration to develop policies and procedures for the department.
- Represent the school in district-level language and cultural events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local language and cultural organizations.
- Participate in school events and activities that promote Punjabi language and culture.
Required Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Punjabi language and literature (M.A.) with B.Ed.
- CTET qualified with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience.
- NET or SET qualification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Punjabi language and literature, including its history, grammar, and syntax.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
