Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver and evaluate engaging Political Science lessons for classes IX to XII, aligning with the CBSE curriculum and school policies. Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids and multimedia resources that simplify complex political concepts for adolescent learners. Conduct regular formative and summative assessments, maintain accurate records of student performance, and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth. Organise debates, model parliament sessions and project work to develop critical thinking, civic awareness and communication skills among students.
Curriculum Development
Collaborate with the academic team to design unit‑wise schemes of work, ensure vertical and horizontal alignment across grades, and incorporate current affairs and regional political developments into the syllabus. Update teaching materials periodically to reflect changes in the political landscape and educational best practices. Participate in periodic curriculum review meetings and contribute ideas for interdisciplinary projects with other subjects.
Student Support and Mentoring
Identify students needing additional support, arrange remedial classes or personalised guidance, and monitor their progress. Act as a mentor for class teachers, offering advice on classroom management, student engagement and effective assessment strategies. Encourage extracurricular participation in political clubs, Model United Nations and community service initiatives.
