Job Overview

What You Will Do

Guide two to three junior PRT English Teachers by modeling lesson structures, co-planning units, and conducting informal classroom observations once a fortnight. Create a shared resource folder for worksheets and audio-visual aids.
Organize monthly English language festivals where students recite poems, act out short plays, and display creative writing to build confidence. Involve parents in preparing props and costumes.
Track board exam trends in English for Classes 3 to 5 and align internal assessments accordingly. Share a simple term-wise performance dashboard with the Headmistress every two months.
Conduct remedial sessions for students scoring below 40% in quarterly English tests using phonics games and storytelling circles. Maintain a logbook of interventions and outcomes.
Collaborate with the Hindi and EVS teams to design cross-curricular projects that reinforce grammar and comprehension across subjects. Submit a short monthly plan to the academic coordinator.
Attend bi-weekly department meetings to review lesson plans, share student work samples, and discuss resource needs. Keep the department WhatsApp group updated with useful links and reminders.
Prepare concise monthly reports for the management highlighting English department highlights, challenges, and resource requests.
Required Qualifications
Graduate in English or Education with B.Ed from a recognized university. Minimum five years of full-time English teaching experience in Classes 1 to 5. TET/CTET is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with NCF 2005 and Rajasthan State Syllabus for English at primary level is essential. Experience with remedial teaching and classroom libraries will be an advantage.
