About This Role
Jaipur National University invites applications for the post of ASSISTANT PROFESSOR Micro Biology Teacher in the Department of Micro Biology. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Micro Biology to students pursuing various programs.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Micro Biology to students pursuing B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. programs.
- Prepare and deliver lectures, conduct tutorials, and guide students in research projects.
- Develop and implement curriculum for Micro Biology courses in accordance with UGC norms.
- Conduct practical classes and demonstrations in microbiology laboratories.
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to improve their skills.
- Participate in academic and administrative activities of the university.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to develop new courses and programs.
- Maintain records of student progress and academic achievements.
PG Class Profile
- Teach master-level courses in Micro Biology, including virology, bacteriology, mycology, and immunology.
- Guide students in research projects and provide mentorship for their thesis work.
- Develop and implement research projects in collaboration with other faculty members and industry partners.
- Publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
- Supervise students for their M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Micro Biology or a related field with a minimum of 55% marks.
- NET/SLET qualification or Ph.D. degree from a recognized university.
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or books in the field of Micro Biology.
- Teaching experience of at least 2 years in a recognized university or college.
- Strong research background and experience in guiding students for their research projects.
Learning and Development
- The university follows the API (Academic Performance Index) score system for promotion and career advancement.
- The candidate is expected to maintain an API score of at least 3.0 to be considered for promotion.
