Key Responsibilities
- Teach Ophthalmology courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Mentor students and provide academic guidance and support
- Conduct research in Ophthalmology and publish papers in reputable journals
- Participate in academic administration, including curriculum development and departmental meetings
- Collaborate with industry partners and other universities on research projects
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methods and assessments
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback
- Engage in departmental and university-level service, including committee work
- Stay up-to-date with advances in Ophthalmology and incorporate new knowledge into teaching and research
Required Qualifications
A PhD in Ophthalmology from a recognized university is mandatory. Industry experience in Ophthalmology is preferred but not essential. Candidates with a strong academic background, excellent teaching skills, and a passion for mentoring students are encouraged to apply. Jaipur National University follows UGC norms for appointment as an Assistant Professor, and NET/SLET is required if the candidate has completed their PhD.
