Teaching Responsibilities
Develop and deliver engaging economics lessons aligned with the school’s syllabus, covering macro and microeconomics, financial literacy, and contemporary economic issues. Use interactive methods to foster critical thinking and real-world application of economic principles. Prepare and present well-structured lesson plans that integrate modern teaching tools and technology.
Curriculum and Assessment
Design and implement assessment strategies, including quizzes, projects, and exams, to evaluate students’ understanding of economic theories and applications. Collaborate with the economics department to refine teaching materials and adapt lessons for diverse learning levels. Ensure assessments are fair, relevant, and aligned with national and international academic standards.
Student Support and Engagement
Act as a mentor to students, offering guidance on career paths in economics, business, and related fields. Foster a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore economic debates, case studies, and real-world scenarios. Participate in extracurricular activities, such as debates, mock business competitions, or guest lectures, to enrich students’ economic awareness.
Administrative and Coordination Duties
Work closely with the principal and department heads to coordinate curriculum updates, teacher training sessions, and professional development opportunities. Assist in organizing academic events, guest speaker programs, and field trips related to economics. Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessment results as required by the school’s policies.
