Mathematics (PRT) Vacancy in Kota, Rajasthan
Nalanda Academy, Kota
Job Description
About This Role
Nalanda Academy, Kota integrates smart boards, Google Classroom, and a school LMS to make Mathematics visible through animations and real-time problem solving. The PRT Mathematics Teacher will shape foundational numeracy skills using these tools alongside traditional methods. You will work with students from grades 1 to 5 in a blended environment that values curiosity over rote learning.
How You Will Teach
Lessons begin with a 5-minute interactive warm-up on the smart board, followed by hands-on worksheet activities on tablets. Google Classroom hosts daily practice sheets and short instructional videos created by you for revision at home. The LMS tracks each student’s progress in basic operations, geometry, and measurement, letting you plan targeted interventions. Storytelling around historical mathematicians and local measurement units (like ‘haath’ and ‘beegah’) keeps concepts relatable. End-of-topic quizzes on the LMS provide instant feedback to both students and parents.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare weekly lesson plans aligned with the NCERT Mathematics syllabus for grades 1 to 5 using the school LMS templates.
Upload daily assignments, demo videos, and practice worksheets to Google Classroom before 8:00 AM.
Conduct two smart board sessions per week for concept visualization, especially for fractions and shapes.
Maintain digital attendance and grade records in the LMS within two hours of class.
Organize monthly Math Lab activities using digital simulations and physical manipulatives.
Share weekly progress snapshots with parents via WhatsApp groups and the parent portal.
Collaborate with the IT coordinator to troubleshoot basic hardware or software issues during class.
Attend a monthly tech training session to learn new LMS features and digital teaching tools.
Who Can Apply

Candidates familiar with Google Workspace and basic spreadsheet analysis will be preferred. No TET/CTET score is mandatory for this role.
What Makes You a Fit
You should be comfortable explaining geometric concepts through GeoGebra files shared on the LMS. Experience with LMS platforms like Moodle or Google Classroom is a strong plus. Ability to create simple quiz templates in Google Forms and interpret LMS analytics will help you fine-tune lessons. Nalanda Academy values teachers who blend digital literacy with classroom warmth, ensuring no child feels left behind in the Maths lab.

Compensation is no bar for deserving candidates. Salary will be discussed based on experience and classroom impact. Additional benefits include transport support within Kota, subsidized meals, and annual professional development funds.
