Day-to-Day Duties
- Conduct Mathematics classes for students from class 6 to 10
- Prepare lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations for Mathematics classes
- Use various teaching aids, such as charts, graphs, and videos, to explain complex mathematical concepts
- Assess student progress, provide feedback, and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the Mathematics curriculum
- Participate in school-wide Mathematics competitions and events to promote student engagement
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and academic achievements
- Develop and implement extra-curricular activities to enhance student learning
- Attend staff meetings, workshops, and training programs to stay updated on best practices
- Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you should hold a postgraduate degree in Mathematics (M.Sc. or M.A.) or a related field. A B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. degree is also required. Experience in teaching Mathematics at the secondary level is essential, and a TET or CTET certification is preferred. Your academic background and teaching experience will enable you to create engaging lesson plans, assess student learning, and provide effective feedback.
