You’ll design and implement experiments, practicals, and projects that reinforce theoretical concepts, ensuring students grasp scientific principles through experiential learning. Collaboration with the science department will be essential to coordinate interdisciplinary activities, such as field trips to botanical gardens or environmental awareness programs, which are integral to the school’s curriculum.
You will also assess students through continuous evaluation, including weekly tests, project submissions, and practical examinations, while maintaining a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Keeping parents informed about student progress through regular updates and parent-teacher meetings is another key part of your role. Additionally, you’ll participate in faculty meetings to discuss teaching strategies, curriculum updates, and student performance trends, ensuring alignment with Discovery International School’s educational goals.
The successful candidate must hold a postgraduate degree in Biology or a related field, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Two years of teaching experience, preferably in a school setting, is mandatory. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory for this position, it will be highly regarded.
