Prepare lesson plans that incorporate modern teaching methods, including storytelling, debates, and creative writing exercises. Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to improve their language skills. Collaborate with the English department to organize extracurricular activities like poetry readings, book clubs, and cultural events.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and maintain lesson plans that cover grammar, literature, and communication skills, tailored to students' evolving needs. Assess student performance through written exams, projects, and oral presentations to track growth. Work closely with the school’s academic team to ensure consistency in teaching standards and curriculum implementation. Participate in departmental meetings to discuss teaching strategies and share best practices.
Periodic Responsibilities
Conduct parent-teacher interactions to discuss student progress and address any concerns. Organize and lead workshops for teachers on advanced English teaching techniques. Prepare and submit term-end reports on student achievements and areas needing improvement.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in English or a related field with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Minimum two years of teaching experience in English at the secondary or senior secondary level is required. While TET/CTET is preferred, it is not mandatory for this position.
Salary and Location
