Qualifications and Requirements
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Dance or related field. Possess a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification to teach at the secondary level. Prior teaching experience in dance for at least three years is essential. While TET/CTET is not mandatory, having these certifications will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct dance classes for students in grades six to twelve, ensuring age-appropriate techniques and choreography.
2. Develop and implement a structured dance curriculum that integrates cultural values with modern dance forms.
3. Collaborate with the principal and staff to integrate dance activities into school events, festivals, and extracurricular programs.
4. Maintain a safe and conducive learning space for dance practice, including equipment and resources.
5. Assess students’ progress through practical evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
6. Participate in school functions such as inter-house competitions, cultural fests, and district-level dance events.
7. Ensure adherence to school rules and maintain a positive attitude towards student discipline.
8. Prepare and submit monthly progress reports on student performance and attendance.
9. Engage with parents through regular communication to highlight dance achievements and development.
10. Stay updated on new dance trends and educational methods to enhance teaching effectiveness.
