Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Coordinate with the English department to align lesson plans with the school’s curriculum standards. Assist in organizing school-wide events like literary fests, elocution competitions, and cultural programs focused on English. Collaborate with other teachers to ensure smooth integration of English language skills across different subjects. Participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss student performance and areas for improvement.
Periodic Responsibilities
Prepare and submit termly progress reports on student performance, highlighting strengths and growth areas. Conduct periodic assessments and evaluations to gauge comprehension levels and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Ensure all teaching materials, such as textbooks, worksheets, and digital resources, are updated and accessible for students.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a postgraduate qualification in English or a related field. Minimum 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in English or related subjects. Possession of TET/CTET certification is highly preferred but not mandatory. Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken, is essential. Familiarity with modern educational technologies and teaching methodologies is advantageous.
