Role Summary

As a PRT Computer Science Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching the subject of Computer Science to students from class 6 to 10. Your primary focus will be on creating an engaging learning environment that promotes digital literacy, coding skills, and problem-solving abilities among our students. You will also be involved in developing and implementing curriculum-aligned lesson plans, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance the overall teaching and learning experience.

Day-to-Day Duties

- Design and deliver engaging lesson plans for Computer Science classes, incorporating real-world examples and hands-on activities.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Use educational software and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning, including coding platforms, simulation tools, and multimedia resources.
- Develop and implement curriculum-aligned assessments, quizzes, and exams to evaluate student learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives, such as coding clubs, robotics programs, and digital literacy workshops.
- Provide individualized support to students who require extra help or have special needs.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in Computer Science education, including new technologies, trends, and best practices.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and parent-teacher conferences to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this role, you must have a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree, with a specialization in Computer Science or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience is required, preferably in a school setting. While TET or CTET certification is not mandatory, it is highly preferred.
