About This Role
This is a senior Social Science department role at Delhi Public World International School, Sikar. The position is designed for an experienced TGT Social Science Teacher who can lead curriculum development and mentor junior staff. The role involves shaping how students in Classes 6 to 10 engage with history, geography, and civics.
Day-to-Day Duties
Plan and deliver Social Science lessons aligned with CBSE standards and school academic calendar. Prepare term-wise lesson plans and ensure coverage of NCERT content with local context for Sikar students. Conduct weekly department meetings to review progress and address classroom challenges.
Assess student performance through unit tests, projects, and periodic assessments. Provide detailed feedback to students and parents during PTMs in Hindi and English. Organize inter-house quiz competitions and field trips to Jaipur museums to enhance learning.
Guide junior teachers in lesson planning and classroom management techniques. Share best practices for using digital tools like Google Earth in geography classes. Collaborate with the school librarian to update Social Science reference materials.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Social Science with minimum 5 years of teaching experience at TGT level. B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized institution in Rajasthan. CTET or state TET qualification is preferred for CBSE school compliance.
Familiarity with CBSE Social Science syllabus and assessment patterns required. Experience with project-based learning and experiential teaching methods is an advantage. Knowledge of Rajasthan state board integration points is helpful.
