Role Summary
Delhi Public School in Gangtok invites applications for the position of Post Graduate Teacher in Computer Science. The Computer Science Teacher Job in Gangtok will be responsible for delivering structured lessons aligned with CBSE standards and fostering analytical thinking among learners.
What You Will Do
Teach Computer Science to senior secondary students using modern pedagogical methods. Develop and execute lesson plans that cover programming, data structures, algorithms, and practical applications in Python and C++. Provide focused guidance for board exam preparation, including sample papers, revision sessions, and doubt clearance.
Lead the Computer Science curriculum across grades 9 to 12, ensuring continuity and depth. Mentor students for national-level Olympiads and coding competitions. Organize hands-on lab sessions using Delhi Public School’s well-equipped IT infrastructure. Collaborate with the school’s STEM team to integrate interdisciplinary projects.
Support the creation of digital content such as video lectures and e-notes for blended learning. Conduct parent-teacher interactions to share academic progress and learning goals. Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance. Participate in school events, fairs, and inter-school tech fests.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Computer Science or related field with a minimum of 55% marks. B.Ed degree from a recognized institution is mandatory. Candidates must have cleared CTET or TET at the secondary or senior secondary level.
Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in Computer Science at the secondary or senior secondary level. Prior experience in CBSE-affiliated schools and familiarity with board examination patterns is preferred. Knowledge of Python, Java, or C++ is essential.
