PRT Physical Education Teacher Job in Chengalpattu, Tamilnadu | School Recruitment
Responsibilities
Conduct daily Physical Education classes for classes VI to XII, focusing on skill development, fitness, and sportsmanship. Organize and supervise intra‑school tournaments, inter‑school events and annual sports meet in Tiruporur, Chengalpattu. Prepare lesson plans aligned with state curriculum and maintain records of student progress and attendance. Ensure safety of equipment and playing areas, and conduct regular checks of sports gear. Mentor students for state‑level competitions and guide them in selecting appropriate sports streams. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate health and wellness themes into school activities.
Requirements
Graduate degree with B.Ed or D.El.Ed in Physical Education. Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a school setting. TET/CTET qualification preferred. Strong knowledge of Indian sports games, fitness assessment tools and modern teaching aids. Ability to communicate effectively in English and Tamil. Familiarity with Billabong High International School’s emphasis on holistic development and global exposure.
Salary
Rs.17,000 - Rs.30,000 per month, payable as per school norms.
